Improved User Permissions

--

One of the benefits to using Ministry Sync is that you are granted unlimited users within your account. So, event coordinators, development directors, and volunteers can all have access to your upcoming event in order to help with event management.

As of April 2018, our user permissions got a whole lot easier to understand. Now there are just 3 simple permission levels for each user.

Change permissions within your account by clicking on “User Permissions”

User Permissions Explained:

Users can be granted one of three permission options: Read Only, Normal or Admin.

  • Read Only User — A Read Only user will have “Read Only” access to your events. This level of access is typically assigned to a person who would like to see the data and how the registrations are going, but you do not want him or her to have the ability to edit anything.
  • Normal User — A Normal User (formerly known as “Power User”) in Ministry Sync is what most additional users should be. If selected, the user will have the ability to read and edit any information associated with a registered guest (moving guests to different groups, editing person profiles, etc.). They can access reports, send emails and invitations, and they have the power to open and close the event. Normal Users do not have the ability to: access Event Setup, access Account information, Setup WePay Merchants and order Live Attendance.
  • Admin User — An Admin User has all of the abilities of a Normal User plus the ability to access Event Setup, access Account Information, create WePay Merchants, and order Live Attendance. In addition, Admin Users will have the option add more users.

We hope this helps simplify user roles while protecting your key event information.

Until next time, have a great day!
